12:20 pm - crazy today @@

So I have sunburns from yesterday, but that car boot was so worth it. ^^

And I got to free spar for the first time last night.

And the semester's end karate party was fun. Hectic, short for me and Jen, but fun. Hopefully Amani will come back one day. I wibbled. ,,

And bad stuffs too. Maybe good stuffs. Lotsa good stuffs.

Like Cheese Puffs.

... Puffs.

This I blame entirely on having to wake up at 3:30 in the morning, actually waking up at 2:32 (how I know this, I still don't know... I didn't look at my clock until about 5 minutes until my alarm was set to go off), and then watching Silent Hill after taking Jen to the bus station.

And apparently sensei goes jogging on campus, but I only noticed it when Chip saw her one day out in front of parking services. oo;

Subject: Special Alert

The university was made aware of an incident potentially compromising database security on Tuesday, May 1. A current UWF student was able to access sensitive student information by using another student's Web site address containing an embedded password. The student obtained this address through the university's online directory.

Upon notification of this breach, immediate steps were taken to remove the Web site entry from the directory and change the password for the Argonet account in question. System logs are being examined to determine if there have been other security breaches linked to this account. This analysis has been underway continuously since the incident was reported.

As of now, there is no evidence indicating use of the account by anyone other than the account owner and the student who discovered the password.

The university is undertaking an extensive review of all policies related to database security to prevent similar incidents in the future. Additionally, Florida law is being followed in regard to notification of individuals who may have been affected by this breach.

As further information becomes available, the campus community will be apprised of it. Information regarding enhanced safety measures and tips for individuals to protect themselves from potential security breaches is forthcoming as well.

Because UWF doesn't email students about this where it'd be more likely to be seen. They don't want to cause a panic, I'm sure, but at the same time, do they really know the extent of the damages/who all was affected by this? What a hell of a way to wake up one morning and find that you can't get to that all-important thesis you've been working on for the last two years that's due in a week.

In other news, there are at least 8 movies I want to see now, Transformers aside, and in just under an hour, I do not work at the library again for OVER A WEEK. There just aren't words to describe how thrilled I am at that concept. ^^

04:51 pm - holy crap bored

Anyone up for anything tonight? Call me or something. I'm already bored. @@;

08:29 pm - i hate goodbyes

And I hate getting attached to little things... like data... and programs... and a small group of imaginary characters I created for a game I don't use anymore.

I never wrote that story either. Damnit.

My main character isn't gone yet. I'm still trying to gather email addresses and whatnot.

10:57 pm - bigfoot protection act

No, they're not kidding.

Read more... )

What I want to know is if indeed they do indeed have proof that Bigfoot exists, why wait until after the act is passed to reveal it? Wouldn't it make more sense to bring out the proof before demanding that the species be protected so we know what it is we're supposed to protect? --;
